The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus marks a new generation for the midsize luxury SUV. While the template is similar to that of the previous model, the exterior design is different, more along the lines of the modernized look of the Aviator.
The roofline of the 2024 Nautilus descends toward the rear of the vehicle. The beltline is straight, as is the strip of LED lights that traverse the front bumper between the two headlights. In the center, the Lincoln logo lights up at night. Meanwhile, in the rear, the taillights form a continuous band from one side of the vehicle to the other. A set of 21-inch rims comes standard (with 22-inch rims optionally available), and the door handles are concealed in the window trim. The Jet Appearance package, for its part, notably adds two-tone paint and adaptive suspension.
Another new development for the Lincoln Nautilus in 2024 has to do with the powertrain options. Two different 2.0 L inline-four engines are available. The first, supported by an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (which comes standard), can produce 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. In combined city-highway driving, fuel consumption is around 10 to 10.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
A turbocharger and an electric motor producing the equivalent of 134 hp invigorate the other engine. This configuration, which includes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive, produces a total of 310 horsepower. In this case, combined fuel consumption is approximately 8 liters per 100 kilometers.
Capable of seating five occupants, the Nautilus SUV offers up to 1,948 liters of cargo volume. It also has the capacity to tow up to 1,750 pounds.
With a base price of $61,900, the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus also features some revisions in the cabin. While the vehicle’s comfort and workmanship are at the same high level as always, the automaker has reconceived the overall presentation. The most obvious difference lies in the superb digital dash that’s a whopping 48 inches wide.
Made up of two connected screens, it displays all of the essential operational information on the driver’s side. To the right, it displays customizable features (the sound system, connectivity options, lighting, etc.), which the user can select on an 11-inch center touchscreen, which sits slightly lower. The Nautilus also avails of version 1.2 of Lincoln’s Blue Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. Finally, the Lincoln Rejuvenate ensemble, which creates a peaceful environment, is optionally available.
